Costain Heritage is led by Fritha Costain.
Fritha is the director of Costain Heritage and has worked for a number of years as a heritage consultant. Prior to setting up Costain Heritage, Fritha ran the consulting department at Continuum.
Fritha's experience as a heritage consultant is considerable and wide ranging, for example her heritage consultancy work has ranged from the development of an audience development plan for Wells Cathedral prior to the submission of an Heritage Lottery Fund grant application, to the preparation of an options appraisal for a new attraction as part of the Roman Baths, Bath.
Fritha has in-depth knowledge of the heritage sector, and extensive experience in financial consultancy. She is a qualified accountant and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for seven years. She read archaeology at the University of Wales and subsequently went on to complete an MA in archaeological survey at Durham University.
Prior to working for Continuum, Fritha worked for English Heritage, where she assisted in managing the Planning and Development department and was partially responsible for the distribution of the Repair Grants for Places of Worship.
Fritha has also worked for the National Trust, as a volunteer, and Historic Scotland preparing architectural surveys.
Costain Heritage is highly experienced in the provision of heritage consultancy services, however, in addition to our skills, projects often require other specialist input. Costain Heritage works with a number of associates in order to ensure that all the requirements of projects are met.
